Requirements:

• input new person from keyboard
  • use-case prerequisite(s):
    • define minimum criteria to differentiate persons (uniqueness)
  • essential features
    • warn of potential duplicates
  • highly desirable features
    • can initiate from within an unsuccessful patient search
    • can create new person from unmatched lab result header after rejecting offer of soft matches
  • future features:
    • be able to be "called" (patient selection) from a separate EMR-lite
    • import singly, or in batches, from legacy system
