Managing hospital stays

Eventually patients may have to be admitted to hospital for extension of care. GNUmed allows for documenting such events.

Each hospital stay can be associated with an episode (as the "primary reason for admission"), the admission and discharge dates, and a free-text hospital designation. Provisions have been made in the database to associate documents with hospital stays, such as discharge letters, but this is not yet supported in the client GUI.

Version 0.6 will support associating procedures performed on a patient with existing hospital stays.
