Managing procedures

Patients will eventually have to undergo procedures which GNUmed 0.6 will allow to document if so desired.

Each procedure is associated with a range of fields:

  • where: this relates to either a hospital stay or a free-text designation for a certain praxis, such as in the case of an ambulatory care knee joint arthroscopy or a gastroscopy
  • when: the date when the procedure was performed
  • why: a link to an episode (thus, a health issue) as to why this procedure was performed
  • what: the procedure per se - be it endoscopy, an imaging study, a biopsy, an operation, radiation therapy

It is planned to allow for associating documents with procedures, such as back-referral letters.
