What to expect when using Mandrake for running GNUmed

configuration known to work

Mandriva 2007.1 and above ( e.g. 2008)

• for the client part several rpm packages exist at www.mandrivauser.de (should work with 2007.1 too) and http://download.opensuse.org thanks to Florian aka doktor5000 from the MUde-rpm-team
  • you can use the Mandriva 2007 or 2008 repository at
    • http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/SebastianHilbert/Mandriva_2008/
  • or you can use the MUde-source
    • urpmi.addmedia --update mud-free_release ftp://ftp.mandrivauser.de/rpm/GPL/2008.0/i586/release/ with hdlist.cz

• for the server part there is a package available. Just install gnumed-server.

• user and password is "any-doc" (without ")

• now either use the setup script or do it by hand:
  • download and unpack gnumed-server.tgz
  • bootstrap GNUmed server
    • cd GNUmed-v8/server/bootstrap
    • sh bootstrap-latest.sh
